Lawyer Referral and Information Service
Monitors activity relating to lawyer referral programs. Provides forum for exchange of
lawyer referral information.
Bar Member Services
The purpose of this Forum is for NABE members, regardless of position
or association size, to share and exchange ideas and learn more
about providing a variety of services to their members. In a true
sense of a forum, this group provides an opportunity for those who
want to learn more about what types of services other bar associations
provide to members, including the cost of those services, staffing
issues, and what works and what doesn’t. Those services might
include assistance with law practice management, forms and information,
discounted services, training, electronic discussion groups, specialized
conferences and events, or a variety of others. If you are continuously
looking for ideas to enrich the services your bar association offers
to attract and retain members or keep members in mandatory bars
satisfied, by joining this Forum you will have access to those with
similar interests to share member services tips and to brainstorm
about new, innovative services.
Meetings,
Seminars & Events
Serves fulltime meeting planners and bar association staff with
meeting planning responsibility, by providing programming, networking,
information exchange and assistance. Each year it may host a one
to two-day educational workshop in conjunction with the Midyear
and/or Annual Meeting in coordination with the Program Committee.
Download the Meeting
Trends Survey and Report (Co-sponsored by the Meetings, Seminars
& Events Forum and the ABA Division for Bar Services).
Sections and Committees
Serves as a coordinating point for bar association staff who support
the work of committees and sections of their bars, to facilitate
the exchange of ideas, to improve productivity and accountability,
to explore innovative and efficient recruitment and retention methods,
and to motivate and support their volunteer.
State and Local Bar Liaisons
Fosters communication and support among bar executives who provide
direct liaison between state, local and specialty bars in their
respective jurisdictions.
Young Lawyers
This forum encourages communication among staff members who work with
the young lawyers divisions in their bar association. Members are
encouraged to ask questions and share ideas on ways to engage this
lawyer population and prepare them for leadership roles in the bar.
Law-related Education
Includes NABE members as well as members of the National Conference of Bar Foundations who want to exchange strategies and success stories in this area.
