Associations Are Like Baseball Teams – Message from NABE President Zoe Linza

I like baseball.  I always have.  I go to Cardinals games.  I get excited picking my red outfit.  I played softball.  I played third base.  That’s what my Mother played and she was good, I’m told.

So, it was disappointing a few years ago when I had to “make” my son go to a Cardinals game.  We had great tickets.  There was a huge crowd.  We won the game, but my son did not have fun.  He didn’t play baseball.  He didn’t know baseball.  He was not interested.

Reminder: The NABE Program Producers Need Your Help!
In preparation for the upcoming NABE Annual Meeting, the NABE Program Committee needs your assistance! Please take a moment to answer a few short questions about your bar association’s member networking events. Follow this link: and complete no later than Monday, July 25. This questionnaire will help the program producers with the information they need for the “Track 2B – Scratch Your Member’s Itch for Networking” session. Results will be tabulated and presented in a new and fun format during concurrent programming on Wednesday, August 3, where attendees will learn best practices and innovative ideas about member networking events. Thank you in advance for your help.

Last Chance to Let NABE Know Your Thoughts
If you've already responded to the NABE Membership Survey distributed on Monday, July 11, thank you! If not, there's still time to respond: This survey will help NABE leadership in gauging your thoughts about your membership and NABE priorities.
