NABE Board Meeting Highlights (September 11, 2018)
NABE’s mission is to enhance the skills and enrich the careers of bar association professionals, or essentially to be #NABEMore for all of our members. Toward that end, to help NABE members be even better informed about the work of their Board, we will be providing you with updates on topics discussed and actions taken at Board meetings. We invite you to share any suggestions and comments with the Board here

Last week, the Board met and discussed the newly formatted Professional Development Committee (kicking off next weekend in Chicago), the status of Committee appointments (almost done), the process to consider proposals from various consultants to help implement priorities adopted last year (the executive committee will follow up with top responders to gather more information) and whether NABE should move to a Zoom platform for webinars (waiting for a demo).  We also heard updates from the task force looking at Midyear meeting options for the future and the task force looking into E-Community development for NABE. We are all excited about these forward-looking initiatives, and the opportunity to offer even more to NABE members. Our next Board meeting is live in Little Rock on October 26-27 so look for more updates after this day and a half meeting (highlights provided by NABE Secretary Ellen Miller-Sharp).
