Nominate a Deserving Colleague for the Bolton Award
The Bolton Award, NABE's highest honor, will be presented on August 9, 2019, at the NCBP/NABE/NCBF Joint Luncheon in San Francisco to an individual who epitomizes professional excellence. Help NABE recognize a colleague who fits the bill by nominating the individual for their work within their bar organization and within NABE. LexisNexis Awards to Recognize Bars for Educational and Public Outreach Programming
In the last year, has your bar created a new program or modified an existing one with exciting results? If the program is replicable and contributed to the bar's public outreach or provided public education in your community, it's a candidate for a NABE/LexisNexis Community and Educational Outreach Award. Awards will be given in multiple categories according to bar size. The categories recognize not only state and local bars, but also national organizations, Canadian bars, and special focus bar associations. Spots Still Available for Chief Staff Executives Retreat, Small Bar Track and New ED Bootcamp
The NABE Chief Staff Executives Retreat is scheduled for March 12-13, 2019, and will be held once again at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile just before the ABA Bar Leadership Institute. This year’s CSE Retreat will be held as a collaborative event in conjunction with the Small Bar Conference and will include a track geared toward the needs of small associations. NABE will also host a Bootcamp for New Executive Directors on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, 12-4 pm, immediately preceding the CSE Retreat. If you haven’t registered yet, there is still time! Last Chance for Nominations for NABE Officer and Board Positions
Interested in serving NABE as a member of the NABE Board of Directors?  Now’s your opportunity, but you have to act quickly!  Nominations will close tomorrow, Friday, February 15, 2019, for open NABE officer and board member seats for the 2019-2020 year. Individuals interested in serving in any of these positions must submit a nomination package that includes a letter of interest containing the individual’s name and the position sought, a biographical sketch and a recent photo.  These materials should be sent to Angie Euell at and must be received by 11:59 p.m., Central, February 15, 2019.  Additional details on the nomination process (including a listing of the openings, position descriptions, etc.) as well as provisions for challenges to the Nominating Committee’s slate by petition are available on the nominations and elections page
