NABE Board Meeting Highlights (September 4, 2019)
The NABE Board met by phone on Wednesday, September 4. The Board accepted the financial report and heard reports from several committees and sections about ongoing activities and the upcoming Communications Section and Governmental Relations Section conferences. Additional highlights include the development of eight webinars, the upcoming compensation survey, the first town hall for Small Bar associations with the second one on policies that every organization should have in place scheduled for September 23, and continued outreach to gather input for an alternative to the mid-year meeting. As membership renewal season comes to a close, the Board discussed efforts to encourage member renewal. The Board also noted the significant energy and tremendous programming provided during NABE’s Annual Meeting, and thanked the Professional Development Committee for its planning efforts. The Board’s fall in-person meeting is scheduled for late October.
