NABE Board Meeting Highlights (February 16-17, 2021)
The NABE Board met via Zoom in February and discussed and approved recommendations to improve the organization’s policies and to retain the dues structure. The board also approved sending a short survey to inquire about members’ travel preferences for an in-person meeting in August. The board received financial, committee, and communication consultant reports as well as a positive Midyear Meeting recap.

There are many places where your personal experience as a professional bar executive can help NABE to meet the needs of its membership. And, just the same as at your own association, it takes volunteers to make a healthy and relevant organization. Please respond by April 15.


Celebrate Women's History Month
The ABA Judicial Division is presenting “Judicial Milestones in the Quest for Women’s Equality” on March 26 at 12:00 Noon Eastern. The program will feature a diverse panel of female judges who will discuss challenges on the bench and offer insights on their achievements and more. The program is free of charge, and you can register online here.

    If a client or potential client uses the internet to exact revenge by leaving you a negative review, you may be inclined to post a response to protect your reputation.   • The Case for Lawyer Well-Being
    While lawyer wellness is a topic often tackled by traditional media, now there is an academic article addressing the business case for prioritizing lawyer wellness. In the article, originally for the Villanova Law Review, author Jarrod F. Reich stresses how “given a confluence of societal, industrial, and generational factors, now is the time for firms to focus on the health and well-being of its attorneys.”  This version of the article, adapted for Center on the Legal Profession at Harvard Law School, includes significant information from studies on lawyer wellness and analysis.
