Mecklenburg County Bar (MCB) attorney volunteers meet with their eighth grade mentees once a month throughout the school year to “serve as a positive role model and to provide the student with a window into the legal profession.” This program is run through MCB’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee which works with area schools to facilitate the program, and area principals recommend student mentees “from a broad range of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds who are considering future legal careers.” Learn more here.
