Speaker Bios

Luke Zimmer is a graduate of Indiana University where he studied journalism and anthropology. He has a broad array of experience, professional and otherwise, and his curiosity knows no bounds. His primary work is in communications with a specific interest in social media and online communities. In his current position as communications and community coordinator for the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA), he serves as chief editor of publications, manages marketing and communications for programs and events, and works closely with URMIA’s resident risk management expert to manage the association’s online communities and knowledge center.

Angelika Lipkin has helped over 100 associations launch private online communities across the United States, England and Australia over the last six years at Higher Logic. Now responsible for managing Higher Logic’s Client Services department, including community management, Angelika now advises clients on community management best-practices and engagement strategies, and frequently speaks at industry events. Prior to Higher Logic, she spent three years at the Corporate Executive Board, managing relationships with senior level IT executives across 225 Fortune 1000 companies. Angelika is a graduate of Michigan State University.
